How does the subscription work?
Stepsmith Plus is an optional auto-renewing subscription, billed to your Apple Account by Apple. The yearly plan includes a 7-day free trial for new subscribers; the monthly plan has no trial. There is no lifetime purchase. The price for your country is shown in the app before you subscribe. The subscription renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
How do I restore my purchase on a new or reset device?
Sign in to the App Store with the same Apple Account you subscribed with, then tap Restore on the Plus screen, or in Settings › Restore purchases. There is nothing to sign in to inside the app.
How do I cancel?
Open Settings › [your name] › Subscriptions on your iPhone, choose Stepsmith, then tap Cancel Subscription, or tap Manage subscription in the app's Settings. Cancel at least 24 hours before your renewal date to avoid the next charge. You keep Plus until the end of the period you already paid for. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
Can I get a refund?
Purchases are processed by Apple, so we can't issue refunds ourselves. Request one from Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
What's free, and what does Plus add?
Unlimited breakdowns you write yourself, the one-step-at-a-time focus screen, export and import, and 3 AI breakdowns every month are free. Plus adds unlimited AI breakdowns, “Make this step smaller”, a short timer for any step, and history search.
It says Apple Intelligence isn't available.
AI breakdowns need a device that supports Apple Intelligence, with Apple Intelligence turned on in Settings › Apple Intelligence & Siri and its model downloaded. Until then, Stepsmith uses its built-in splitter, which follows simple patterns — check and edit the steps. Settings in the app shows which one is in use.
When do my free AI breakdowns reset?
On the first day of each calendar month. The breakdown made during setup doesn't count.
How do I move to a new iPhone or iPad?
In Settings › Export all (JSON), save the file to iCloud Drive or Files. On the new device, use Settings › Import from a JSON file. Import adds to what's there and never deletes anything. Restoring the new device from an iCloud or computer backup also brings your lists.
How do I delete my data?
Open a breakdown and tap Delete this breakdown, or delete the app to remove everything. We hold none of your data, so there is nothing to delete on our side.
Does anything I type leave my device?
No. Breakdowns are made on your device, and there is no account or server. See the Privacy Policy.
