Every day

Daily basics, already split.

Taking out the trash, a shower, laundry, dishes, a simple meal, bedtime and more, each already split into two to four small steps.

  • No streaks to break.

Made on your device.
Stepsmith doesn't send what you type.

On-device AI

Steps are written by Apple's on-device model (Apple Intelligence). Nothing you type is sent to us or to any server.

Works without it, too

If your device can't run Apple Intelligence, Stepsmith says so plainly and uses its built-in splitter instead.

Questions

Do I need Apple Intelligence?

Only for AI breakdowns. Without it, Stepsmith uses its built-in splitter, and you can always write or paste your own steps. Stepsmith requires iOS 26.

Is what I type sent anywhere?

No. Breakdowns are made on your device, and your lists are saved on your device. There's no account.

What's free, and what does Plus add?

You can write or paste unlimited breakdowns, use the focus screen, reminders and daily basics, and get 3 AI breakdowns a month for free. Plus adds unlimited AI breakdowns, “Make this step smaller”, step timers, unlimited routines and history search.

Is Stepsmith a medical app?

No. Stepsmith is a planning tool for anyone who gets stuck before starting a task. It is not a medical device, and it doesn't diagnose or treat ADHD or any other condition.

Can I move my lists to a new device?

Yes. Export everything as a file, then import it on the new device. Import merges and never deletes what you have.
