Privacy Policy
Crave Harbor keeps your quit journey on your iPhone. We don't collect it, see it or sell it.
What the app stores on your iPhone
To work, Crave Harbor saves what you enter in a file inside the app on your iPhone:
- Your plan
- Quit date (or a future date you're counting down to), your old-habit estimates (pods a week, price, puffs a day), and an optional daily puff limit and cut-down plan.
- Your logs
- Cravings (time, how strong, what set it off, whether you got through it) and slips (time and number of puffs).
- Your words
- Your reasons for quitting and your plans for each trigger.
- App state
- Small app-only details, such as when you started using the app, whether you finished setup, which offers you've already seen, whether you were asked for a review, and how many times you answered yes or no to “Did Crave Harbor help?”.
This file is protected by your iPhone's built-in data protection. Like other app data, it is included in your own iCloud or computer backups of your iPhone, according to your backup settings. We cannot access it.
What we collect
Nothing. Crave Harbor has no account and no sign-in, and it has no server of ours to send data to. We don't collect, receive, store, share or sell your personal data.
- No analytics or usage tracking.
- No advertising, and no advertising identifier.
- No third-party SDKs that collect data.
- No tracking across other companies' apps or websites.
The app doesn't contact any server of ours. It uses Apple's StoreKit for purchases. If you tap a link such as Terms of Use, Privacy Policy or Manage subscription, iOS opens that Apple or Velkmoor page; the app doesn't add any of your data to the link.
If you have turned on Share With App Developers in your iPhone's Settings (Privacy & Security › Analytics & Improvements), Apple may share anonymous crash reports and app-usage statistics with us. That is controlled by you and by Apple, and you can turn it off at any time.
Purchases
Subscriptions are sold and billed by Apple through the App Store, under Apple's terms and privacy policy. We never see your name, email address or payment details. On your device, the app asks Apple's StoreKit only whether you have an active subscription, so it can unlock Plus.
Notifications, widget and Siri
- Trial reminder. If you start a free trial, the app may ask permission to schedule one local reminder on your iPhone, 2 days before the trial ends. It is created on your device, not sent through any server.
- Widget. The Craving Rescue widget contains no personal data. It only opens the app.
- Siri and Shortcuts. “Start Craving Rescue” only opens the app. Nothing is shared.
- Quitline. “Talk to someone” opens your Phone app to call 1-800-QUIT-NOW. That call is between you and the quitline; we don't see it.
Backup files you export
Plan › Export a backup creates a file with all your Crave Harbor data, and you choose where it goes (for example Files, iCloud Drive or a message). The file is not encrypted and is under your control; deleting the app does not delete it. Restore only backup files you made yourself. When you restore, the app keeps a copy of the data it replaced inside the app on your iPhone.
Keeping and deleting your data
- Fix or delete a single craving or slip: Plan › History › Cravings and slips, then tap to edit or swipe to delete. Reasons and plans can be edited or cleared where you wrote them.
- Delete everything: delete the Crave Harbor app from your iPhone. This removes all its data from the device.
- Copies you made remain until you delete them: exported backup files, and your iCloud or computer backups of your iPhone.
Children
Crave Harbor is meant for adults who want to stop vaping. It is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13.
Your choices and rights
Because we don't hold any of your data, there is nothing for us to access, correct, export, delete or sell. You stay in control of everything on your device, as described above. If you have a privacy question or request anyway, email us and we'll answer.
Not medical advice
Crave Harbor is a tracking and reflection tool. It is not medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. For help quitting, talk to a doctor, or call 1-800-QUIT-NOW (US).
Changes to this policy
If the way the app handles data changes, we will update this page and the effective date at the top before the new version of the app is released. If a change means data would leave your device, we will tell you in the app before it happens.
